My supreme desire is to please God.  And, since desire is the strongest of all wills, this is what compels me.  I am humbled and honored to be called by God to do His work in helping restore creation with its Creator.  It has been a very introspective journey this making certain of my calling and election; nonetheless, it has been filled with inspiring relationships, intense spiritual connection, blessed and anointed commitments, and humbling seasons of repentance.  It is with much joy and vitality that I affirm my trust in God with my life, my ministry, my talents, and my family in every aspect of leadership to His Kingdom.  Accepting the role of church, I commit daily to be a servant before I act as a shepherd.  I understand that I must walk with the Lord and lead from the abundance of our intimacy.  I also commit to cover every aspect of my life, ministry and service in prayer.  Finally, as a leader, I will daily choose to empower those over me, enrich those around me, encourage those under me, work hard, walk with integrity and to worship with sincerity.

Jessica Heath

Certified Ministry Assistant

Although having ties to FBCR since she was a baby in the weekday ministry program and teaching there for a summer after graduating high school, Jessica became the Ministry Assistant and Financial Secretary here in September of 2008.  With a business/marketing degree from Mississippi State University, Jessica combines that knowledge with the experience she gained while obtaining her Professional Course Certification for Ministry Assistants to assist the ministerial staff with the everyday operations of the church office.  Jessica has been married to her husband Matt since September of 2007.  Jessica and Matt are proud parents to their son Benjamin, born July 15, 2010.  Jessica's hobbies include reading, making earrings, camping, fishing, watching football and spending time with her family and friends.

Larry Tubb

Student Minister

Larry has served as Youth Minister in Mississippi for 12 years and Collegiate Minister at Hinds-Rankin Community College for 2 years.  He is currently serving as the Student Minister at FBCR and previously served as Student Minister of First Baptist Church of Ripley, MS.

Larry is a native Mississippian and a graduate of Amory High School.  Larry holds a Master's Degree of Arts in Christian Education (MACE) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor or Arts Degree from Blue Mountain College.  He and his wife Kristy Renee Brashier, a native of Bartlett, TN, have been married since September, 2002.  They have two children, Elijah Kade and one daughter, Kinsey Reece.

Philosophy of Ministry

"Teaching, leadership, and administration are my gifts, and I thoroughly enjoy using those gifts to train and equip students, as well as families, to reach their individual circles of influence with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Then, He will be the One who draws them to Himself.  And the fact that He still chooses to allow us to be a part of that is beyond amazing!"
