Dr. B. J. Bennett

Pastor

Dr. Bennett is a native of Kentucky and spent his high school days in Gulfport.  He has served as pastor in Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky and Georgia.  He previously served as pastor of First Baptist of Indianola.  He holds a Doctor of Theology and Masters Degree in pastoral ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a BA Degree from Mississippi College.

He and his wife since July 1974, the former Nancy Carol Stegall (a native of Madison), have two daughters, Jessica and Jaime and one son, Justin.  They are also the proud grandparents of Alex and Gabriel.

Philosophy of Ministry
"The Lord has gifted me in the ministry areas of preaching and teaching the Word; prayer; and evangelism.  I am one who retells the Story of God in Community, thus it is the stories of our lives in this spiritual journey before us that a preacher and pastor teaches and equips alongside his people to know and do the will of God."

Philosophy of Ministry

"Teaching, leadership, and administration are my gifts, and I thoroughly enjoy using those gifts to train and equip students, as well as families, to reach their individual circles of influence with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Then, He will be the One who draws them to Himself.  And the fact that He still chooses to allow us to be a part of that is beyond amazing!"
