Mission Statement:  We seek to meet the physical needs of God’s children as He meets their spiritual needs.

Local Missions:  Share the Warmth is an effort currently underway to collect gently worn or new coats to be distributed to those in need in our community.

State Missions:  Each year in September Mississippi Baptists focus on praying for Mississippi Baptist State Missions and the Margaret Lackey State Mission Offering. However, the MLSMO has now become a year-round mission endeavor that is helping Mississippians learn about missions, pray for missions, give to missions, and do missions.

In 2008, Mississippi Baptists gave $2,020,288.04. This offering was used to fund ministries such as Garaywa Camp and Conference Center, Central Hills, Disaster Relief, Literacy, Criminal Justice Ministries, Language-Ethnic Ministries, Christian Women’s Job Corps, Church Planting, Pastoral Benevolence, International Collegiate Ministry, Associational Mission Projects, and Volunteer Missionary Assistance. Much of the success belongs to church mission leaders who prayed, promoted, gave and encouraged others to give.

The theme for 2009 is Wherever He Leads
Scripture: Colossians 4:2-6

North American Missions:  The North American Mission Board assists Southern Baptists in their task of fulfilling the Great Commission in the United States, Canada and their territories through a national strategy for sharing Christ, starting churches and sending missionaries, in cooperation with Acts 1:8 Partners.

International Missions:  The International Mission Board's (IMB) mission is to make disciples of all peoples in fulfillment of the Great Commission.  Almost 5,000 people groups - 1.6 billion people - still live with little or no access to the Gospel.  IMB is an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention, the nation's largest evangelical denomination, claiming more than 40,000 churches with nearly 16 million members.  For more information please visit our website.
